Dear Zach Quinto and Sendhil Ramamurthy;
You are adorable little BFFS.
And then (unrelated to the short vide above!), aww: Sendhil says Zach is his favourite actor to work with on Heroes because they have a "great chemistry" and "just bounce off each other really well" and "just have a great time." Guys, it shows - you're easily two of the best to watch - your scenes are fantastic.
Honestly, I just love that they all seem to have such a genuinely good time creating the series - that they are all actual friends. Like Milo and Adrian, for example - Adrian's kids call Milo "Uncle Daddy" and they spend a lot of free time together - and of course Milo and Hayden - but everyone has a connection to someone (or everyone); they really do enjoy each other's company! It's refreshing *coughmajorityofbuffycastcough*.

They didn't touch at all. No wave good-bye, hug or handshake. Nothing. Just walked in together, walked as far as the first escalator, they had their noncommunicative moments and they wordlessly turned away from each other. What could you have been talkin' about with your pretty pal? Something work related, or perhaps a matter far more personal? I'm tearing up just relating this, so cold!
From E!Online.

All emo aside, you know who I love?
Christian Siriano and Brad Walsh.
(If you're not a weirdo like me... This is who Brad Walsh is, and this is Christian Siriano.)
I just adore their relationship - the reality of it, the way they have to balance out press and misconception (mainly through blogs - Brad is very vocal on his own blog and over at his one on Junk Magazine), and from the things they both share about each other, it's obviously a very sweet thing.
Plus, Brad gets offended by the "hot tranny mess" catchphrase, which for some reason makes me love the guy even more.
And then there's Brad's birthday, which has just passed. He posted pictures of a gorgeous bouquet of roses he received from Christian, who hosted his birthday party at the Annex that night. And then we have a blog post from Brad talking about feeling struck full of awe by all the friends he had with him, the people he has in his life, and we get this:
"Christian is a living breathing walking genius who’s somehow in my life and for some reason loves me, and I don’t understand why I’m so lucky but I’m not gonna argue living a dream every day."
And I melt, of course - who wouldn't? - these two have a very sweet, very real thing going, and I love the way they handle it.

Media-Ish: Tim Russert/NBC/Fox/CNN
Jun. 18th, 2008 | 08:55 am
When Tim Russert of Meet The Press died last week, both CNN and Fox News knew about his heart attack while recording voice-overs and his subsequent death before the story had broken. (Via TVNewser - where has that link gone?)
These two networks both held on to the story (seriously, these two cable, 24 hour news networks) to allow NBC the courtesy to be the ones to break the story about one of their own.
It was a rare display of journalistic integrity - it really surprised me, and days later I'm still thinking about it. Corny as this is, it makes me think there may be hope for the free media. If there is an underlying humanity that they can reach, then maybe, one day, with enough push for change it will come.
NBC reported the story of Russert's death, and later honored him on the next showing of Meet The Press with a commemorative round table and a terribly poignant empty chair.
Just, I don't know. It's a touching moment in a vicious industry.
ETA: Then I go to check out Gawker, and actually Wikipedia broke the story with an insider tip. Sigh.

The aforementioned red carpet slippers!
Jun. 18th, 2008 | 08:09 am
Oh, Quinto. You are unfashionable. Sorry, my dear.
(You guys, I adore Zach Quinto. Have any of you seen So NoTORIous? He's brilliant in that - his comic timing is pretty great. It's like the timing of the Sylar to Mohinder "not just because you're Indian" line, through a whole series). And he's a huge geek. And one day he's going to come out.
( But back to the tragedy )

DON'T WORRY, I WILL UPDATE YOU ON THE KEY SITUATION LATER

I don't know if I've actually mentioned here how much I love Flight of the Conchords. I have that weird national-pride thing about them! (Weird because I'm not technically from the same country!)
I think they're incredibly funny, and BEST NEWS EVER from a google alert today does not go to Zach Quinto's hideous slippers on the Get Smart red carpet, oh no. It goes to this:
*****ATTN: BRIEF SPOILER FOR FOTC SEASON 2 ABOUT A COMEDIC FOCUS, DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW*****

Anyone else read CTRL+ALT+DEL?
It could be that I'm an emotional mess these days but the last two comics have just made me cry buckets.
(I've been reading it for several years now and I'm terribly attached, and, ugh.)
